Live in the lap of luxury at Metricons Hampshire 54

LUXURIOUS living is at the heart of the Hampshire 54, Metricon’s brand-new flagship design.

Part of the company’s Designer range, the home features a striking Empire facade and stunning gallery-style entry, which set an elegant tone and flag the two-storey home’s grand proportions from the outset.

Metricon design manager Ricky D’Alesio said one of the Hampshire’s key strengths was the ease in catering to varying family requirements through different life stages.

“This home has been designed to exceed today’s lifestyle needs, with high-end European-influenced finishes, bespoke built-in cabinetry, timeless appeal and a layout that’s all about generosity of space,” Mr D’Alesio said.

One such breathtaking space is the main-bedroom suite, which epitomises lavish living. The spectacularly sized parents’ retreat spans the entire width of the home and takes up about a third of the top floor.

“It was designed to be more than a place to sleep, but a true sanctuary to retreat and unwind,” Mr D’Alesio said.

It has a generous private balcony and two massive walk-in wardrobes (one of which includes a built-in dressing table), plus a luxury-resort inspired ensuite finished in dark marble for a sophisticated look.

“We also used moulded timber wall panels to provide a textural, yet classic, point of difference for a feature wall behind the bed,” Mr D’Alesio said.

“It forms a fabulous backdrop for the vivid art that is hung within one panel, creating a dramatic focal point in a large space.”

The home’s other bedrooms, including the downstairs guest suite, are also extravagant in size and style, with each offering an ensuite.

Dark timber combines with cream-coloured floor tiles and bold stone bench surfaces for a statement-look kitchen, where an island bench anchors the space, and multiple ovens, an induction cooktop and a butler’s pantry will make life a breeze.

“The kitchen is a smorgasbord of standout features,” Mr D’Alesio said.

Multiple living areas are distributed across the two levels and include a generous leisure space upstairs and a more intimate sitting room with a cosy fireplace downstairs.

“Our intention with the sitting room was to create a place to retreat for quiet time and reflection,” Mr D’Alesio said.

The rear open-plan area has access to two alfresco zones — one offers an integrated marble-finished outdoor kitchen and dining area, while the other provides a relaxed lounge area.

“(The house) offers fantastic entertaining scope off the dining and family rooms,” Mr D’Alesio said.
